Alterian is well-regarded as a leading content management system vendor, and it seems that some of our recent moves have further helped to strengthen that position.

That was a key takeaway from a recent CMC Customer Day, from which we captured a wide range of customer responses. The overall sentiment amongst clients was very positive. Verbatim responses included things like “glad that we can now get additional Mac support for our content authors” and “thanks for offering 5 years of ongoing support. That’s very generous and gives us plenty of time to upgrade to the new version.” Another customer commented that “we’re excited about the extended capabilities of the SharePoint connector that ships with the Professional edition of Alterian Content Manager.”

Partners were also very positive regarding the latest developments from our CMS team. Peter Jones, CEO of Alterian partner j2interactive, said “We believe the Professional edition will provide our customers with the best mid market solution and price point currently available.”

While it’s nice to hear positive feedback about our product, the culture here at Alterian is not one that rests on its laurels. We are constantly looking for innovative ways to improve our products, soliciting inputs from clients, partners, analysts and our internal team.

The turmoil which sometimes results from being bombarded with good ideas from all corners – from analysts, customers, analysts and team members – is what good software product managers thrive on. Everyone weighs in on what would take the product to a higher level. Who’s right? What should the priorities be?

Clearly, our clients appreciate the perspective we offer on CMS capabilities. We offer them a feature rich CMS that runs in any browser, based on a solid backend that integrates with the rest of our marketing software.

It’s never been easier to build a consistent, relevant brand by leveraging your digital assets across a variety of channels. If there are features you think we still need to add, let us know. Whether you are an analyst, partner or client, we’d love to hear what you have to say.
